The feminine congregations aggregated to the Order meet in Rome in a synodal atmosphere

At the beginning of November, the annual meeting on the Rule of St. Augustine took place in Rome at the General House of the Augustinian Sisters Oblates of the Child Jesus. The meeting, open to all the congregations that follow the Rule of St Augustine, was attended by about 120 religious men and women, including the contemplative nuns of the Roman monastery of Santi Quattro.

Three of the speakers, Sr. Pauline Kasila, Sr. Fulvia Seni and Fr. Giuseppe Arippa, reflected on different aspects of the Augustinian Rule and ways of living it today.

At the end of the day, there was an opportunity to dedicate some time to the Lord in Eucharistic Adoration, during which a special prayer for vocations was prepared with great care by the Santi Quattro Sisters and the generous contribution of the representatives of the different Institutes.

During the second day, the Mother General of the Daughters of the Crucified, Sr. Agnese Didu, made a synthesis of the journey of recent years, with special emphasis on the meeting last October of the General Councils of the Institutes of Women and the Council of the Augustinian Province of Italy, on the theme of youth and vocation ministry.

The meeting concluded with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father General, Alejandro Moral Antón.
